Do you love trying new foods? I  am such a big foody that enjoying food is one of my favorite hobbies. This is such a wonderful gift that we can taste and enjoy food. There is a huge variety of dishes in India the same as we have variety in languages. Language in India changes after every 15 km.Isn't that sound cool. A country with such a wide variety in everything but still everyone is interconnected with a thread of love, respect, and unity. Each and every dish of India is unique with a different flavor, spices, and taste. I'll be helping you with some of the famous dishes of South India and a few details about their tastes. Are you feeling Hungry, right now? I can feel the vibes. Let's enjoy the taste and flavor of Indian Food.
Starting with my own favorite

Masala Dosa

Dosa is a made up of rice flour batter . and this is a famous dish of south India and it's so famous that you'll notice that it is popular in North India also. 
This one is my favorite. It can be a plain Dosa if you don't like Potato stuffing but I think You must try it with its potato or panner stuffing that's called" Masala".It will be served with Sambar and the most famous Nariyal chutney.
Sambar is somehow like Daal with some more vegetables and you will taste a little flavor of Tamarind which enhances its flavor.
Coconut chutney is yum. I must this combo with Masala Dosa is lit.
you'll love it.

Idli Sambar

Its taste is the same as dosa but it's not crispy like it. Its softness is its beauty. Its main ingredient is black lentils and rice
It is served with some sambar and coconut chutney. If you try dosa then you must give it a try, you'll not regret, I can assure you.


It is made of rice and urad daal batter, white lentils. It's healthy and delicious. It is garnished with vegetables on the top. It can also be garnished with mozzarella cheese according to a person's taste.
It is served with coconut chutney.you can enjoy it with onion chutney or tomato ketchup if you like.
veggies add an important flavor to uttapam.you can use your favorite veggies for garnishing it.veggeies are kept like dipping over the rice and urad daal batter.


This is a popular steam cake recipe of rice and coconut batter. It can be served with coconut chutney, mint chutney, spicy onion chutney or peanut coconut chutney kadala curry, black chickpeas curry
Some salt is added in putty flour to make it. A taste of coconut will be at the edges of the puttu.
Kadal curry is a popular spicy and tasty veg specially made for Puttu. It has Kala chana, a thin gravy fried in coconut oil to give it a creamy texture. It's spicy and yum.


This is also called Nool Puttu. You can say it like Indian Rice noodles. It is super delicious. It is made up of Rice and served with veg kurma curry or Coconut chutney. It can be eaten with sugar also. It is soft.
About Veg kurma is a combo of many vegetables cooked well with spices .and it tastes wonderful and this is a versatile combo.


It is made up of Rice and moong dal. It can be sweet or savory according to the person's choice. It is made in auspicious pooja or festivals. It is a complete protein pack and healthy. It's the same as North Indian Dal Khichdi. It is served hot and has a good smell of ghee in it. Curry leaves and hing and ginger add flavor to it.
It is best served with coconut chutney or sambhar.


It is like street food made up of kale channa and served with evening tea. curry leaves, urad dal, and chickpeas are important ingredients and at last, a small addition of coconut oil makes it a completely awesome dish. Near beaches in south India, you can easily found people selling sundal.


It can also be called Chakli. It is  A deep-fried snack of south India and looks similar to Jalebi.
They are crunchy and have roasted urad daal. A dough of murukku is prepared and then fried in oil. It's a healthy snack and wonderful in taste.

Kothu Parotta

Parotta is an Indian Layered bread and Kothu means chopped.
A lot of veggies are added with spices. It is spicey in taste. An egg can also be used as Kothu to add more taste to it. Parotta is tired with hand and then added to your spicey prepared curry and then mix well. It tastes yum and delicious. This is one of the best south Indian dishes. It can be served with Coconut chutney.

Kuzi Paniyaram

They are spherical and made with the rice and urad fall batter like that of idli batter. They are also called Guliyappa.
Paniyaram is crispy from outside and soft inside like Pakoda. Onion adds more flavor to it.
Best served with coconut chutney and sambar.
it's wonderful in taste. different spices add flavor to it. You must try this.
